Selling my late mother's wooden chest. The interior is made of Tennessee red cedar but I don't know what type of wood is on the exterior. The exterior has some scratches, but the interior looks like new. This chest was bought by or for my mother in early 1947. It was made by The Honderich Furniture Company Limited of Milverton, Ont. They called it the “Red Seal” chest, style #675. I have the original moth certificate of insurance for it, in the original envelope stamped “Jun19’47”. Dimensions: 38.5" wide, 19.5" deep & 16" high. Check out other online sellers' prices for Honderich cedar chests! Seller recommends that the buyer remove or disable the lock, for safety. Seller lives in Regina, SK but the item is in Nipawin, SK. The chest is fairly heavy. Buyer must pick up; seller cannot deliver. Due to current conditions, I accept Interac e-Transfer only, no cash, and pickup will have to be arranged around current public health requirements and my ability to safely travel to Nipawin.
